About
My name is Freya Stafford, I am a newly graduated student who studied Animation and Visual Effects (BSc) and Computer Games Technology (MSc) at Portsmouth University. I am passionate about modelling and texturing and love being creative in all parts of the animation pipeline! Most interested in environment modelling but also have experience in character modelling, lighting and texturing.
Interests and Hobbies

In my spare time, I am an avid movie watcher and lover of TV. I like art in many different mediums inculding drawing, painting and knitting and am experimenting with learning to draw digitally. I like to build my skills and try new techniques and software in my free time to increase my animation knowledge and become more of an all rounder and generalist. I'm also a big listener of music and love to expand my music tastes with different genres, I enjoy going to concerts and festivals to see artists.

I was a member of a theatre club for 10 years where I acted in many productions and pantomimes. I love the stage and performing but it was not a career path I wanted to pursue so continued with it as a hobby. I was an active committee member there, participating in the social media committee and created their newest website in 2015. I ran this website until late 2018 when it was passed over to the new social media chairman as I was leaving the area for university.
Skills + Software Knowledge
From the 4 years spent at University with all of the best software, I have learned many valuable techniques and skills. This includes knowledge using the following software: 3DS Max, Maya, ZBrush, Mudbox, Coding in Python, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Nuke, World Machine, Metashape, Unreal Engine, Substance Designer and Substance Painter.

All of these have given me valuable insight into the different types of roles in the industry, trying out lots of different skills has helped me decide what I enjoy doing and making. I am most passionate about Environment modelling and texturing.

Currently I have a general knowledge of all the software listed above and 8 years coding knowledge with a GCSE and A-Level in Computer Science. I also have 5 years experience with Photoshop.
